Contest Results: 10/21

The Waller High School Bulldog Marching Band received Straight Division I ratings at Region 27 UIL Marching Contest, held at Berry Center Stadium in Cy-Fair ISD. This is the second year in a row the band has received straight superior ratings at UIL Marching Contest.

Congratulations to the entire band family on this great success!

The band doesn't move on to Area, as this is a year for 5A/3A/1A bands to advance. The band will, however, be performing at the Bands of America Super Regional in San Antonio on Saturday, November 4. Come and cheer us on!

CONGRATS, WALLER BAND! GREAT JOB!

Rehearsals 10/18 and 10/19

Due to the inclement weather on Monday, October 16 we have adjusted the rehearsal schedule to allow us to make up some of our lost time. We are performing at Region 27 UIL Marching Contest this Saturday, and all these rehearsals are geared towards our success at that and future performances!

Wednesday, October 17: 3:30 - 6:00
(we will dismiss immediately to allow our church-going members to get to their services)

Thursday, October 18: 3:30 - 7:30

If your student has a conflict with either of these extended rehearsals, please contact the band hall immediately!

Rehearsal 10/16

Rehearsal this evening has been cancelled due to the weather. We will modify our rehearsal schedule on Wednesday and Thursday of this week to make up the time. Please stay safe and dry!

Week of August 28 - September 1

Responsibility is vital to the band's success - if you are going to be absent, you must inform a director in writing either in person or via e-mail!!!

This week in the Waller Band:
  • Rehearsal Monday August 28: 5:00-8:00pm

  • Rehearsal Wednesday August 30: 3:30-5:30pm*

  • Rehearsal Thursday August 31: 3:30-5:30pm*

  • Football Game/Performance Friday, September 1:
    Report to Band Hall 5:00pm
*RMF sessions from 5:35-6:05pm

Students not properly dressed for rehearsal will receive an RMF for each infraction!

All students should have a copy of the 2006-2007 All Region/All State audition music. All Freshmen should have a copy of the Freshman Region Cuts. If you need either of these pieces of music, please see a band director before or after school!

All students who lose their coordinate sheet at any time may replace them for a fee of $1.00 (to offset the cost of the copier in the band office). Students who repeatedly lose their coordinate sheets will be issued an RMF atop the $1.00 fee for replacement.

All student CHARMS accounts are set up, and the band directors are ready to take band fees at any time!

Note: Students should have paid for band t-shirt and shorts by this Friday!

All rehearsals are mandatory - if attendance is a problem, the directors must know in advance, per your band handbook!!!

  • Rehearsal Thursday, August 24: 3:30 - 5:30*
*RMF session from 5:35 - 6:05pm

Band Handbook Acknowledgement Forms, Student Information Sheets, and Travel Permission Forms are due Tuesday, August 22 in class!

Jazz Band Lead Auditions are Tuesday, August 22!!!

Week of August 13 - 19

All rehearsals throughout the year are mandatory unless specifically stated otherwise by a director.


This week in the Waller Band:
  • Rehearsal Wednesday August 16: 3:30 - 5:30

  • Rehearsal Thursday August 17: 3:30 - 5:30

  • Handbooks will be distributed Wednesday in all band classes. Acceptance forms and information sheets are due Tuesday, August 22nd in class.

  • Rehearsal Saturday August 19: 9:00am - Noon

  • Students needing to purchase marching shoes or marching band accessories will be able to do so after rehearsal Saturday. All accessories (lyre, flip folder, shoes, etc...) should be purchased on this date.
